Steven J. James
Managing Director
Steven James brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his ten years of trading and brokering in High Yield products. Together with Alex Hucklesby, Steve is responsible for running the London office, with a focus in High Yield cash and credit derivative broking as well as overseeing the distressed desk.
Prior to his joining, Steve served as a Director for six years with RBS as head of High Yield Trading. He successfully helped build RBS’s High Yield franchise with a core focus on developing the trading platform. Earlier, he served two years as a Director with Barclays Capital, also as Head of High Yield Trading. James began his career working from Zurich with Citigroup and then as a High Yield trader for Salomon Brothers, in the position of Vice President.
James is a BSc Honors graduate of Nottingham Trent University and holds an MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading, along with being a CFA charterholder. His interests outside of work include a passion for fine wine and food and spending time with his family on his boat around the South Coast.
