John F. Bolton

Chief Operating Officer

John Bolton is Phoenix Partners Group’s Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for all business support functions at the firm, including legal, finance, human resources, and information technology, and plays a critical role in business development and overseeing the firm’s continued international expansion.

Mr. Bolton was appointed the firm’s General Counsel in February 2009. He joined from Nixon Peabody LLP, where he had been a partner providing legal counsel to Phoenix Partners, among other clients. His practice focused on complex business and corporate litigation and a variety of commercial and tort matters.

Mr. Bolton earned his JD from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where he was and editor of the Law Review, and his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. A member of the American and New York bar associations, he is admitted to practice in New York and the Eastern and Southern districts of New York. He is also very involved with the Nassau County Bar Association. In 2008, The Long Island Business News recognized Mr. Bolton as one of Long Island’s most noteworthy people in business via its “40 Under 40″ award.
