Phoenix Partners Group to Hold Fourth Annual Josh Bruce Sawyer Memorial Charity Day on February 25
All Revenues and Commissions Earned Will Be Donated to Charities to Honor Former Colleague
2010.02.22 : New York – Phoenix Partners Group, a leading interdealer credit and equity derivatives broker with offices in New York, London, and Paris, announced today it will donate all global revenues and commissions earned on February 25th to charity to honor the memory of former colleague Joshua Bruce Sawyer.
Joshua Bruce Sawyer Memorial Charity Day is an annual event through which Phoenix Partners Group and its employees honor Mr. Sawyer, a former colleague, by donating all revenues and commissions earned that day to charitable causes. Mr. Sawyer died in January 2007 at the age of 28 after losing his battle with angiosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer that affects blood vessels.
Among this year’s charity recipients are St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.leukemia-lymphoma.org), and Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (http://hiccc.columbia.edu) at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
