Phoenix Partners Promotes John Bolton to Chief Operating Officer
NEW YORK — Phoenix Partners Group, a leading interdealer broker with offices in New York, London, and Paris, announced today that John Bolton, previously the firm’s General Counsel, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.
In his new role, Mr. Bolton will be responsible for all business support functions at the firm, including legal, finance, human resources, and information technology, and will play a critical role in overseeing the firm’s continued international expansion.

Mr. Bolton was appointed the firm’s General Counsel in February 2009. He joined from Nixon Peabody, where he had been a partner providing legal counsel to Phoenix Partners, among other clients. His practice focused on complex business and corporate litigation and a variety of commercial and tort matters. Mr. Bolton earned his JD from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review, and his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College.
