Phoenix Partners Group Appoints Robert Routh Executive Director of Equity Research
NEW YORK — Phoenix Partners Group, a leading interdealer broker with offices in New York, London, Switzerland and Paris, announced today the appointment of Robert Routh as Executive Director of Equity Research.
Mr. Routh, who was previously named the “#1 Stock Picker in the Media Industry” by Forbes.com, has extensively covered companies within the cable, media, and entertainment sectors since the mid-nineties. He will be responsible for initiating Phoenix Partners’ coverage of the same sectors in his new role. Phoenix Partners launched its institutional equity sales and trading team earlier this year.
Prior to joining Phoenix Partners, Mr. Routh was director of equity research with independent equity analysis firm Wedge Partners. He also served previously as managing director and senior equity research analyst for Jefferies & Company, where he covered cable, media and entertainment companies. He had similar equity research responsibilities in positions he held earlier in his career at Natexis Bleichroeder, Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., Merrill Lynch, and Bear Sterns & Co.

Mr. Routh earned his masters degree in accounting with highest honors from The University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School. He attended the university’s undergraduate school as well, graduating from its business administration program with highest distinction.
