Phoenix Partners Group Provides Funds to Search and Care to Sustain Elder Care Charity’s Core Programs
NEW YORK — Phoenix Partners Group, a leading interdealer broker with offices in New York, London, Switzerland and Paris, announced today that it has donated $25,000 to Search and Care, an East Harlem, NY-based organization dedicated to helping more than 600 local elderly residents manage the daily challenges of living independently at home.
For nearly 40 years, Search and Care has provided essential professional and supportive services to vulnerable elderly residents who prefer to live at home, but need assistance to do so. Among the areas where Search and Care staff and volunteers provide help: securing benefits and entitlements; housing, legal, financial and medical advocacy; homecare and transportation arrangements for medical appointments; bill-paying, budgeting and money management; and emergency preparedness and home safety. Search and Care also provides its clients with companionship through regular in-home visits, which is particularly important for homebound and otherwise isolated elders.
Through today’s announced sponsorship, Phoenix Partners will provide financial support to enable Search and Care to continue to provide much needed, but presently underfunded programs relating to occupational therapy, emergency client transportation, evening and weekend care services, and companion pet care. Firm employees are also planning to volunteer time to participate in programs and activities.
