Phoenix Partners Group Sponsors Underprivileged High School Students Through Kenya Education Fund Donation
NEW YORK — Phoenix Partners Group, a leading interdealer broker with offices in New York, London, Switzerland and Paris, announced today a $10,000 charitable donation to the Kenya Education Fund to fund four years of high school-level education for five students.
Attendance at public and private high schools in Kenya costs several hundreds of dollars in annual tuition, an expense that is cost-prohibitive for many families. It was last estimated that fifty percent of the country’s population lives below the poverty line. Since 2005, The Kenya Education Fund (KEF) has provided the necessary funding to grant a secondary education to students otherwise unable to afford one. The money donated by Phoenix Partners will pay the annual tuition of five students for the full four years of high school.
“We agree with KEF that education is indeed the cornerstone of personal, social and economic development, and we are pleased to be able to help five students build a stronger foundation for their individual and collective futures through this grant,” said Marcos Brodsky, founding managing director of Phoenix Partners Group.
